World War 1

Hey everyone welcomes back today in hurumanu 1 we are starting to learn about world war one. So before we start fully learning about it we have to answer two questions and post them on our blogs. I hope you will enjoy all the posts I do on this topic. Have a good day, Good-Bye

How did New Zealand change with so many men away at war between 1914-1918?
Answer:  Of the First World War's many consequences for New Zealand, the human cost was the most traumatic. Among the dominions of the British Empire, New Zealand had the highest percentage (5%) of its military-age men killed. The loss of 18,166 men and women severely affected the small community.

How many families were affected in WW1?
Answer:  The total number of military and civilian casualties in World War I, was around 40 million. There were 20 million deaths and 21 million wounded. The total number of deaths includes 9.7 million military personnel and about 10 million civilians.

Inclusiveness

Hey everyone for the past few weeks in Wga we have been learning about Inclusiveness so we had to fill out a google slide and then post it on our blog there are some questions at the very last slide that I have to answer so I will do that. I hope you enjoy my blog post. Have a good day Good-Bye

Questions:
how does this make you feel?
Working on this slide has made me understand how different some people are and that they get left out because there not like others.
How have your thoughts changed during this lesson on inclusion?
They have changed and made me feel like everyone needs to be included
How will you respond now in situations if you were faced with them again?
I would let them join in and then talk to them and find out somethings about them

A good relationship to me look like a good friendship with someone who cares about you and will treat you the way they want to be treated

Someone in the class that I have a good relationship with is Tasharn. She is a really nice person and cares for people that are really close to her and will take care of close loved ones.

Resting pulse is your pulse when you are resting and how fast your pulse it when you are laying down, we measure it on your neck or on your wrist. We are measuring the beats of your heart rate each minute.

Active pulse is your pulse when you are active like playing a game or running around.

In Paris, Number 1 line up on the baseline, number 2 is watching/encouraging and remembering the results that you finish in.

Run the beep test; you must run with the "beep" sound. Try your hardest.

Once you have finished, go to your partner and time your heart rate for 30 seconds after. Record this result.

Record the level you achieved on your table beside "Beep Test".

Find out how far in total you ran (each length is 20m)

To do this you will need to:

A number of runs x the length of each shuttle run.
