  1. Mōrena Nevaeh, it is great to hear that you want to visit Tāne Mahuta, the largest and longest living endemic tree in NZ.

I like how you have used the Department of Conservation website to find the list of possible activities you could do. Another exciting fact is that we will be learning more about conservation & preservation towards the end of this program. I know that these are pretty big words but by the time you are finished with this year's Summer Learning Journey, you would have become an EXPERT!!

Is there anything else you would like to know about Tāne Mahuta? I would love to know how big its roots are since the size of this tree is absolutely breathtaking. Putting on the shoes of a scientist, I would love to know if you have anything you would love to investigate further about this tree.

Well done on finding the three NZ Sports teams with the word 'ferns' in their name! The first one you have found is called 'Silver Ferns'. If you were given a chance to design their uniform, would you change anything at all or leave it as it is? My personal favourite is also the Silver Ferns' uniform.

Have a great morning and talk to you soon,
    Susie :)
