Summer Learning Journey
SLJ Week Four Activity 1 and two
Activity 1: Fashion-forward
For this activity, I will read an article about where some famous New Zealand brands got their names from. Brand names are very important to companies as this is how they are known.
Could not find them on the article
Activity 2: Try Your Own Tapa
For this activity, I will create my own tapa cloth design. I can draw your design on paper or using a drawing app such as
Sketchpad 5.1.
Here is what I did
So the inner circle means friendship the triangles means lost friendships the bigger circle around that means family the big triangles means growing and the bird looking things means freedom but the last circle means you have less freedom
Bye

ReplyDeleteMōrena Nevaeh,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing another activity! I'd love to see you get to the end of the programme so keep up the great work! :)
What a beautiful tapa cloth design, Nevaeh. What app did you use to draw it? It's so well done! I love your explanation on what it represents as well. It sounds like you've thought quite deeply about its meaning. Do you enjoy doing art projects like this one? You seem to be very good at it.
With the first activity you need to open the link to the article and scroll down to the section about the Twenty-Seven Names clothing label. It's the bit of text under the photo of the man standing in front of the wall of shoes. To earn the points for this activity you'll need to go back and read the article and share your opinion.
Thanks Nevaeh. Have a lovely day.
Mā te wā,
Mikey
