Activity 2: Celebrating Diversity

For this activity, I will do research on two different groups and tell you two facts each.
Maya people was the first one that I chose because of the name it sounded like something cool to do

fact one they speak over 30 Maya languages.
fact two The Mayan people way back kept track of the sun

My next group are called AINU I chose this one because I wanted to know what AINU standard for.
fact one most for the AINU still live in their home country North island if japan
Fact two assimilations policies implemented by the government in the 19th century caused the Ainu to be considered a dying ethic group.

  1. Kia ora Nevaeh,

Great work on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity - keep up the good work. Don’t forget to comment back to blog commenters as well as on others SLJ blog posts to gain extra points.

What a lovely poster you have created for your chosen whakataukī. I really like the purple colour you have used as well as the wonderful images you have included. Where did you get your images from?
What are some gifts, talent or strengths you have gained from your whanau?

Until next time, happy blogging :)
    Emma
